Child's drawing of a rainbow infinity loop with the words "nurture neurodiversity"

I am a multiply-neurodivergent speech language pathologist, providing strengths-based, person-directed speech and language therapy to children and adults in their homes and in community settings.

The goal of my work is to help individuals communicate and connect with others in whatever ways are most natural and joyful to them, and to help communication partners understand, nurture, and celebrate all forms of communication and connection.

ABOUT

ABOUT ME

A middle-aged light-skinned female presenting person with glasses smiling

I earned my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Pacific University, Oregon, in 2016, and received my diagnoses of autism and ADHD as an adult. I am the parent of two fantastic, multiply-neurodivergent communicators and the spouse of another!

I began my career as a speech-language pathologist in a community-based early childhood program, and I have worked with adults and children of all ages, along with their caregivers, educators, and other communication partners, on communication goals that are authentic, meaningful, and contribute to the well-being of the individual. Areas of special interest include:

  • Language development, including normal variations in the developmental trajectory of neurodivergent language learners

  • Multimodal communication tools and strategies, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC)

  • Neurodivergent pragmatic and social communication as a difference, not a deficit

  • Self-awareness and self-advocacy across the lifespan

  • Collaboration and consultation with caregivers, educators, and other service providers
